Blew thru here a little after 5 pm yesterday , really tore stuff up . I've
got trees busted , and power is out ...
Thank doG for generators ! I wasn't too concerned last night , but when
they hadn't restored power by this morning I hooked up my antique 4500w
genny . No AC , but we gots lights and the refrigerator is running .

Yeah , we do too . Gas is 2.50 a gallon , and I'm using about one gallon
every two hours . This is gomma get expensive if it goes on very long . I'm
thinking I just missed the branches coming down by a few seconds , I was out
in the shed when it happened . Those maple trees are apparently pretty
brittle , they're the ones that lost their heads . Also noticed today that a
sweet gum tree next door was uprooted . I've chopped up (with Mr Chainsaw)
limbs as big as my thigh ... And saw the 2.2Kv line that useta run along the
tops of the pole line layin' in my neighbors back yard ... tried to go up
one tree with a set of spikes to take out some of the broken branches .
Decided it's been too many years , and I'm in no shape to be climbin' trees
.
Shirley , I'm drinkin' Dickel an' Seven , get the rest of these folks a
round of whatever they want on my tab .

It was friggin fun trying to get home, took me 2 hours, duckin tree's and
stuff, I was on I40 about 6 miles from my exit when it hit, again we were
lucky got within 2 miles of the house and no damage from the storm, some
rain, and that's abotu it.
Hang in there bud, glad it wasn't worse for ya.
