A guy on the Two Wheeled Texans forum is trying to identify the year and
model of the bike his father owned. I know y'all will know it right off.

My guess would be '51 to '54 if that tank emblem
is the original. Hydra-Glide (obviously), but whether it's
an EL or FL, or whatever, I don't know. There's other
clues like the type of primary cover and the black
crash bars, but for me -- i'd have to look that up.

Yeah, '54 was th' first year for th' "Jubilee Trumpet horn", so I'm
goin' for th' first year of a foot shift, '51. If it has phillips
head screws in th' gear cover it's a '51 or '52.

52 or 53, it won't be a 51 as it is a foot shift, and 54 does not have the
straight bar under Harley Davidson on the tanks

Wanna bet? First year of a foot shift was late model '51. And check
out th' year tab on th' license plate.
