I am shopping for a replacement wheel for a 2006 street bob with a one
inch diameter axle.

I see that many  wheels use a 3/4 in axle rather than a 1 inch.
Reading on the internet  I have read by changing bearings and spaccers
3/4 in wheels can be used on one inch axle front ends.

Can anyone give me specific info ont this and possibly the standard
bearing numbers used in these wheels. I have seen some list 6205 as a
bearing but this seems wrong.

Anyone have the info on this  ???  thanks

If you could drop a copy of reply to me i would appreciate it

Bet you would like a personal reply . Check your research , I believe you'll
find you got it backwards . I've seen bushings to adapt a 1" wheel to 3/4"
axles , going the other way is likely to be a problem .
If ya want to get along here , you best get over to www.rmhfaq.com and
read up . We'll be waiting for the intro and a round ...

Bzzzt, wrong answer. The '00/'01 Twin Cam 9-spoke cast rear wheels with 3/4"
axles are the same as used on the '02 & up with the 1" axle. Just different
size bearings and spacers and the axle-cam alignment setup. Even the spacer
sleeve is a -00 part #.

BUT are they the same as the older wheels ? Did they change the wheel to
accomodate the 1" axle , will that 1" axle set-up work , for instance on a
wheel from a '95 ?

That's not what the OP asked. He wants to replace an '06 wheel.  Which
likely means he's looking for a TC 9-spoke cast wheel.  Which, as TL said,
all of those wheels from '00 on up are the same, only the bearings are
different.
Now if you're asking if he can use a '95 wheel on an '06, pffffft, only a
hack would do that. <g>
