Set 'em up on me.  I've got what may be a stupid question.

So, the previous owner of Noisy Glide (03 flhtcui) put fairly radical
mufflers on the bike.  It appears to be running way too lean (plugs
are white, popping, backfiring, etc) which leads me to believe he just
slapped them on without getting the EFI remapped.

So, if I'm going to take the bike to the dealer, I might as well put
on a high flow air cleaner and have it remapped only once.  Problem
is, I just had the cam chain tensioners upgraded, and it's tax time,
so I don't have the cash at this time.

What I'm thinking of is to find a set of stock mufflers from someone
who has recently upgraded, and run those until I can afford to do a
full proper stage one upgrade so I don't fry the engine in the
meantime.

There are a few candidates on Craigslist.  The most promising is a set
of mufflers for $50 off a Street Glide.  It's a 2008, though.  Does
anyone know if the mount or diameter changed any between 2003 and
2008?  Thanks much.

I strongly recommend the stock 103 or 110 mufflers. They are pretty
quiet and flow better than the stock 88ci version.
