Uh, Tom.  There already is a world bank.  It's called, strangely enough,
the World Bank.

You could look it up.

Warning! this product has been found to cause cancer and emphysema,
and to lead to increased likelihood of strokes and heart

unthinking machines it doesn't matter in the least whether you smoke

There's also the International Monetary Fund (IMF), both organizations have been
controlled by the US for just about forever. And too much influenced by
Friedman's Chicago School economic theory........

I took econ at the jr. college level, frikkin hated it <sfsf>, really got into
labor relations and negotiations though down the hall.

Don't think any of it helped much in my career, or maybe the mix of everything
is what got me out of my toolbox and into an office......

About my favorite read lately (besides sci-fi stuff) has been Klein's "Shock
Doctrine, the rise of disaster capitalism"........

I think the current crop of Wall Street folks had the same prof I did for
accounting principles (did a couple semesters at the university level before I
moved to Arizona looking for a job)...he was from Nigeria, barely spoke english,
nobody understood a word that he said.....
