Does this look like a good deal? Seller is asking ~$9k. Local ad reads:
1992 HARLEY DAVIDSON FXRSP POLICE SPECIAL, THIS BIKE IS A VERY RARE
FIND. PRODUCED FOR POLICE USE, COMPLETE WITH FRAME MOUNTED FAIRING
AND SWITCHES NEEDED FOR POLICING, THE ONLY THING MISSING ARE THE LIGHTS
AND SIREN. ONLY 16,089 KM,THEY DONT COME ANY NICER
There's also a ex-police Road King for sale near here; ad reads:
2000 Roadking Harley Davidson. Former Vancouver Police Bike. Has been
well taken care of and in Excellent Condition. 77,500.km
With used police bikes, is there anything in particular that I should
be aware of? Or should I avoid them completely?
TIA, Sean - refreshments are on me

Depends on a couple things Sean, is it coming from an actual police dept
or auction or a private seller? If it's the latter, how many miles and
do they have maintenance records on it? I know a couple guys in here
that have `em and they really like them a lot. HTH

Both are private sales.

I dunno about records or mileage. Odo readings are in the ads,
but I don't know how much of that was police use.
I haven't talked to either seller yet.
