Drinks for those that are thirsty...
Dunlop 402 on the back of the Electra Glide. According to the
handy-dandy HD air gauge/tread depth combo tool there is right at 2/32
tread left. Not a lot, but it hasn't worn down to the tread depth
indicators on the tire yet. Do you fine folks suppose it'd still be good
for about a 600 mile ride in 100 degree temps?

Yes, unless you'll be riding a bunch of twisties in thunderstorms.

I live in Kansas. We have no twisties. We have hardly any turns at all.
<grin> We are also in a heat wave they predict will last 10 days, so no
thunderstorms. (It's so dry that it sounds like stepping on crumpled
newspaper when I walk across my lawn.)
I already have a new E3 that I got from RonAyers.com, so I took it to my
indie friend and he's gonna change it for me. I was just thinking about
getting every mile I could out of the old one, but heck with it. I'll
just put the new one on and ride.
'Preciate the input.

Order an EIII from www.JakeWilson.com posthaste and forthwith . Then you
won't be worried about it . Or a pair ...
Seriously, keep the old one for those In-Case moments - say a disastrous
failure , and ya just gotta ride until the new one comes ...

Got a new E3 already. Decided to have a friend put it on and balance it
for me. Prolly coulda made the trip, but I'da been worried about it the
whole time. Putting on the new one is worth the peace of mind.
Front tire is still pretty good, but next year I'll need a new one. Then
I'll have E3s on both ends!
Thanks.
