I need a working starter for a 1984 Goldwing GL-1200 Aspencade. I need
help in finding one so if you have one or know a good place to start
looking, let me know.

I'm fortunate to have a competent breaker nearby, so, if I were in
your shoes, I would (hopefully) ride down to Milwaukee Cycle Salvage
and have them quote me a price, expecting it to be high and making an
effort to conceal my desperation but knowing they'd have it (probably):

Here is a site with a price on the item you're looking for. I've
never dealt with them:

If you want new stuff, try Servicehonda.com, or partsnmore.com You probably
only need a set of brushes and an oil change

Or take it somewhere for a rebuild? I got my starter rebuilt last year
for less than $100 at a joint just a half a mile from my house. It has
been working great ever since (of course).
