Hello all!
O-K...I'm having a heck of time trying to figure out why my
1992 Suzuki DR350S runs for a while then stops dead and is a bear to re-
start. The bike (third owner) has 10K miles on it. Has a new carb. good batt
and the plug color is fine. Seems that (I just purchased it) after I start it
(1st-2nd kick) and ride it for about 30 mins. it just dies.....then it takes
about 10mins to re-start it. I don't think it's fuel related. I've been told
that maybe the CDI of the regulator/rectifier may be bad or old.
Any thought or ideas will really be helpful.

Could be either fuel or heat related.
It could be gradually heating an electronic component
to the point where that component stops working and
then cools down again after 10 minutes.
Possibly it might also be drawing down its fuel
if there's poor flow to the carbs.
When it won't run, try pulling the plug, laying
it on the cylinder and see if you get a spark.
Also check if the plug is wet or dry. Wet and
non-sparking is an electronic problem. Dry and
sparking is likely a fuel delivery problem.

Rob.........Thanks for the ideas, I'll try them. If it's an electronic
problem what do you suppose it could be? edc

As I said, it'd likely be a heat related problem
I don't know your bike but would look at the
ignition trigger circuitry, particularly anything
with a heat sink attached. Radio Shack supposedly
has some glop for reattaching electronic components
to their heat sinks.
Figure out whether it's fuel or electronic first.
If you don't have a manual, get one.
A quick google search:
dr250 cdi ignition

I really don't feel/think it's fuel. As far as elec. goes.....let's guess?!
