I have a 2002 harley ultra classic with a 95 cubic inch stage 2 kit. My
question is that I notice my engine light comes on when I reach a certain RPM
on the highway. I also notice leakage coming from behind the air filter
leaking onto the crankcase. Is this something I need to worry about. Do you
have any idea what this could be coming from. It is hard to tell if it's
water or oil. The color is a brownish color. The bike does'nt get hot.

Even today a 2002 Ultra is worth well over $10,000; so I hope you'll
understand me when I tell you to:

TAKE. YOUR. MOTORCYCLE. TO. A. HARLEY. DEALER. AND. GET. IT. FIXED.

Oh, and:

DO. IT. RIGHT. AWAY.

MY QUESTION WAS, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA ON WHAT IT MIGHT BE THAT'S CAUSING THIS
PROBLEM?

Two problems. Probably unrelated, but maybe not. It could be lots of
things. The engine light is probably a dealer fix. The oil may or
may not be normal breather leakage. Check my RMH response for more
information.

In any case... Tim is right. Take it to the dealer and have the
engine light thing checked out. The computer codes will tell the
dealer what is causing the light.

It's a bit difficult when your description of the fault is a simple "The
engine light" comes on.
