2006 Honda Shadow 600 (VT600C) Question

 

Anyone else got one?  Question ...

Today I took off the shift lever and linkage and rear brake pedal and
cleaned out the old grease and put in some new grease.

No problem on the shift lever ...

However, on the rear brake pedal ...

There are two washers that the bottom bolt of the pedal bracket goes
through.  (The bottom bolt also has the rear brake pedal riding on it.)
Anyway, I couldn't figure out in which of the two possible positions the
"inner" washer goes.  (In other words, I took it apart and am not sure how
it goes back together.)

Is the order:

a)Bolt head, outer washer, pedal bracket, inner washer, brake pedal, frame?

b)Bolt head, outer washer, pedal bracket, brake pedal, inner washer, frame?

I rode the bike out to the dealership in Kalamazoo.  They couldn't answer
the question, either.  They looked at their parts fiche and service
documentation.

The parts fiche is odd (and that is all you'll find on the Internet) because
it separates the pedal bracket from the rear brake pedal.  The inner and
outer washers are shown on one fiche without the pedal, and the brake pedal
separately (kind of out of context).

Does anyone have one that I can compare with?  I'd be glad to send a hi-res
digital photo and you can compare with yours.

No disassembly is required.  It is externally visible.

Anyone willing to help?
