26 motorcycles in crash on I-5 near Wilsonville

06:10 PM PDT on Friday, September 18, 2009
By MICHAEL ROLLINS, Kgw.com

WILSONVILLE -- A group of 26 motorcycles collided with two cars about
2:45 p.m. Friday on northbound I-5 two miles south of Wilsonville,
according to Oregon State Police.

They are members of the Brother Speed motorcycle club, said Oregon State
Police Lt. Gregg Hastings.

On the Brother Speed website, it's self-described as "a club that is
serious about brotherhood, respect, riding fast and building Choppers."
The Portland chapter was chartered in 1970.

Two of the motorcyclists were reported to be critically injured and
transported by Life Flight. At least nine others were also hurt,
according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. Seven suffered shoulder and
hip injuries and broken bones. All were taken by hospitals by ambulance.
Two patients were treated at the scene and refused an ambulance ride.

I don't wish the injured anything but a speedy recovery but jeezus, what
sort of freakin' spacing were these idiots using that they managed to
pile up twenty-six freakin' bikes all at once?

Not MSF graduates, I'd wager.
