Anyone know if these are close to the same carbs and are
interchagable? Will Fz700 carbs work on a fz600?

Nope. It's the same deal as the FZR600, the FZ700's carbs are semi-
downdraft and won't work right in the horizontal position.

Yamaha came out with their Genesis motor about 1986 or 1987. The
Genesis motor has a cylinder block that leans forward at an angle of
30 degrees or 45 degrees.

FZ750 came first, as a pure sports racing bike and FZ700 was built to
avoid Reagan's tariff on motorcycles over 700cc.

Don't bother to ask about FZR1000 carbs, they are also semi-downdraft
carbs.

Your FZ600 has an air-cooled FJ600 motor with vertical cylinders and
needs horizontal side draft carbs.

I recommend Mikuni radial flatslide carbs for your bike, if you have a
pipe and aftermarket air filters or no airbox. They will wake up your
engine and you won't believe what a screamer it can be if you've been
struggling along with the original diaphragm carbs.

The Mikuni kit for these fine carburetors is RS34-D31K. They are 34mm
carbs with an acclerator pump. They fit on 38mm spigots, and the carb
spacing is
70mm between each pair of carbs and 80mm between the 2 pairs.

For fuck's sake. They are totally different engines. The answer is still
no.

Don't be so negative. I'm sure he can make them work. A little
