"[$680 million in] Federal stimulus money created or saved nearly
8,300 jobs in Wisconsin, most of them held by teachers, police
officers and firefighters, according to an audit submitted to the
federal government."
"[Wisconsin Governor] Doyle's office had no breakdown on how many jobs
were created and how many were saved, or how many were in the private
sector, because the federal government did not ask for that
information, said Chris Patton, director of the state's Office of
Recovery and Reinvestment."
"For each job saved or created, Wisconsin spent about $82,000 in
federal stimulus money."
" -- 23 projects have been fund[ed] to help the homeless, with 476
people in 227 families getting help.
" -- 240 homes are having lead paint removed.
" -- 89,507 meals were provided to 9,175 homebound senior citizens.
" -- 175 Americorps volunteers worked at 139 locations."

Just apply for it and wait. It helps to be a government agency. The
Army Corps of Engineers applied for $2 million to fix up the
campground and they got it.
