Heading out to the 49er rally this morning. Hoping to get in some
good rides in Sierra National Forest, depending on how muddy the
roads are. Weather's been screwy lately, with rain and even some
higher elevation snow way late in the season. Whatever else happens,
looking forward to rides, beer and camaraderie.

Have a nice weekend y'all. Be sure and keep me informed what new
disinformation the evil Tim Morrow is propagating and what new
hereditary entitlements the damn furriners are looking to cheat us out
of.

Happy riding to the rest of you.

Good luck to you on your adventure. Higher altitude campgrounds will
still be closed in the Sequoia NF until the middle of June, according
to an article in the local newspaper.

I did my Seymour Rhodes Tour yesterday, riding down through
Buttonwillow and the Elkhorn oil fields to Taft, Hwy 166 to the Hwy 33
junction, Hwy 33 to Ojai, Hwy 150 to Carpenteria, Hwy 101 to Santa
Maria, and Hwy 166 back to Taft.

Scottish Broom was in full bloom along the switchbacks between the
Rose Valley cutoff and Wheeler Springs campground.

The scent of flowers filled the air.

The crosswind from the west was very strong on Hwy 101, but it was at
my back on Hwy 166.

Total miles was 457.

My butt was numb and I couldn't feel my dick afterwards.

But I didn't have to take any Ibuprofen pills all day...

Now I'm headed for the jacuzzi...

I guess you think that the Preamble isn't an important part of the US
constitution.

You're probably not descended from the posterity of the Found Fathers
anyway.

But I am.

This weekend is our annual Stars In Osoyoos ride. Traditionally the
first weekend ride of the year for our group. Unfortunately we received
50mm of rain yesterday with a similar amount forecast for today. Right
now there is heavy rain falling on most of my route. The snow level is
around 1500 meters and I would have at least two passes to cross to get
to Osoyoos.

Maybe I am getting soft or it is just age catching up to me, but this
morning I decided to sit by the fire enjoying a hot cup of coffee as
opposed to gearing up for a 10 hour ride through rain and snow.

Enjoy your ride and make sure to tell us what a terrific weekend you had.
