Mine was a 1973 650 - I loved the low end torque and Low CG. The new one
has no oil leaks and 5 speeds so I can't complain too much.

There's a great article on hopping up the Scrambler in the latest
issue of Motorcyclist magazine.

Mostly just politics. But when not arguing politics, I
ride a '58 Spagthorpe Airedale, one of those with the
liquid sodium cooling conversion. Outside of changing the
dampers twice, I haven't had to do much maintenance in the
18 years (237 miles) that I've owned it. Both the paint and
tires appear to be original.

Yeah, It's too bad I had to give up my Spagthorpe Dachshund. I just couldn't
afford to maintain it. You know how rare parts are for that little bike.

I prefer the Air Cooled version myself - less clean up if you get a leak.
