So my wife already has a DSL line in the house for her job. The stuff I
need to do, I need the new 6MB line that ATT offers in my area. So I go
on-line and check it out. 45.00 a month. I can handle that. So a little
chat window opens and ask me if they can help. Sure, why not. They say how
can I help you and I tell them what I've told you above. 3 minutes later, it
says what city and state are you in. Which I already filled all that out at
the initial chat session beginning. So I do it again and she comes back and
says it's available, well, I already new that cause it was already checked
and I already have service. So she asks my phone number and I tell her that
my ole lady works for ATT and she already has a DSL line on that number and
I want a new/faster DSL line that is not on a phone number....I think her
head exploded. She says you can't do that. I say, your web page says you
can, just enter the address instead of the phone number if you don't want
phone service with your new DSL...The cost 45 a month and most of the eqpt
is free. Now she does explode and says I can't have two DSL lines at the
same address. I say, I can 50. It doesn't matter how many lines you run
here as long as I'm paying for it...right.....Well, I dunno. I disconnected
and filled out a bone chilling review of their chat process.
Guess I'll call Verizon and see if they're still in business...
