What kind of gizmos do you use for back support?
I saw some "slimming belts" at a local sporting goods store
today and wonder how well do those work.

IMHO, back supports will work very well at letting your back muscles
become weak and flabby and unable to sit on their own.
I'd recommend making your motorcycle riding a part of your aging
strategy. Stretch daily, keep muscles and joints flexible and strong ...
delay as long as possible your dependence on braces and such.
Your body is worse than any Federal budget at reacting to your demands:
use it or lose it.

I believe I have overdeveloped lower back muscles from the situps done
improperly and these muscles are what is responsible for most
of the back pain. I want the lower back muscles to become weak.

Proper posture will solve that: it will help strengthen the muscles that
are weak and those overdeveloped ones can slack off.
