Just a reminder that we take on enormous risks for the love affair we have
with riding.
I won't use that old axiom that "he was doing what he loved best", but I
will say that I hope he's not in pain and that his family will forgive him
for leaving them behind.
All we can do is ride smart, dress for the crash, not the ride, and stay on
top of our riding skills.
I am fortunate to have had only one serious crash in nearly 40 years and
over a million miles of riding. I owe that to a measure of skill, some
common sense, really great safety gear and a mountain of good luck.
