I need to buy stuff for my new bike. Kawasaki doesn't seem to have much as
far as "stuff" goes. Some stuff I want:
Digital or really neat round floating illuminate compass. Some kind of
windshield bag or storage that looks like it belongs there. Something to
hold a large cup of coffee, or a can of diet coke coke, that won't fall over
when turning. Insert bags for my hard saddle bags.
You know, STUFF..

I've been looking for a magnetic compass myself.
Another poster has suggested a GPS. I do just fine without a GPS.
Direction is more important. For example, if I know that I'm South of an
E-W expressway and want to go W, I just keep going W and North until I find
an entrance ... I do fine without a GPS.

No clue.

I've had good luck with the RAM mounting system. It works out well because
my cupholder and my GPS mount are interchangeable.

Hefty, Hefty, Hefty.

The technical name is "crap".
You should check out the "Big Box Mart" video from JibJab:

From microbiology: "A chicken is just an egg's way of making another egg."

Actually I need something to store my Olympus E3 professional camera and
50-200mm lens in so it won't break.

Try RiderWearhouse (same folks who make the
Aerostitch line of suits). It's Farkle Central.
Motorcycle Superstore is another fairly good
online source.

What the hell for? I've carried compasses on road trips, but I've
never found a need for one. You should have an internal compass. Start
with knowing that the sun rises in the East. Know what time of day it
is and what road you're on. If you have a map and some common sense,
you shouldn't need a compass when on a road.
Better to have a hitech gizmo that does absolutely nothing. You can
baffle the curious with background stories. "That? Oh yeah. It's my
hyperlink to Control."

Drill a couple of tiny holes in the top of your windshield. Get a
Camelbak. Take the bag out of the pack and wire it to the windshield.
Let it dangle and use it like an IV.
