Living in North Florida I have had the "opprotuninty" to drive thru
Daytona
at the beggining of the past sevarlk Bike Week events. I was There
yesterday and
The streets are already packed with all manner of Motorcycles. There
are Bike Week
tgents and events already set up everywhere, The festivity is in the
air and as
usual driving the residents a little bit nuts. And absolutely no signs
of a recession
anywhere. I'll ride back down with the wife on my bike next week. One
of the things you
should try to do sometime is ride a bike down Main St during bike
week, at least once.
Kinda like being at times square for New Years Eve except on a bike.

I was out shopping last night for a new computer (got an MSI Wind netbook) and
the malls in Knoxville were packed.  Not just one.  All of them.  Best Buy was
sold out of a lot of their more popular models.  Parking was at a premium at
Best Buy, Staples, Walmart and Sam's Club, and traffic was murder.  I went to
two different Best Buys before I found what I wanted.  It's hard to see there's
a recession when everybody and their brother is out on Saturday night, spending
money.

Hard to see, until I look back and see the 150 people at my company that were
laid off in January.

I bought one a couple of months ago and I love it.  Perfect for
taking on motorcycle trips.

What are you using for Antivirus?  I don't want to use mine before I get
something on it.  I have a line on a corporate version of a major brand but it's
on a CD.  ;-(   I guess I can use a crossover cable and use the CD drive from
another computer.

I got this one mainly to use at the campground.  During the motorcycle season I
spend much more time there than here and I need something that's ultra portable.

I really wanted an Asus eeePc with the 802.11N wireless but they were sold out
of that one.  I had to get this one with the 802.11g.  I have an N router at the
campground but I'm stuck with g speeds with this computer.

Are they LAN'd up ?  Burn an ISO image, copy it over, and use
a Virtual CD-Drive.
