Good to hear from you Bri. A 43 year old friend of mine, just
recouperated from one and is about to have the other done. Don't
sound like any fun. He said that they just suddenly stopped working.
Docs did a scan and told him the bones were dying (dead). Guy isn't
even overweight. Scary.
There was an old timer at our place who was putting off knee
replacements because he said that once they wore out, they were not
replaceable. Glad to see yours was.

The top of my femur died after having a bad break and started to break
up, so I got my first hip replacement at 30....this one is the patch up
from that.
The novelty of crutches has worn off!

I was impressed at the number of old folk getting hip/knee/shoulder
replacements done at the hospital......the hospitals are always
underfunded, but they seemed to be getting through a lot of patients.
Something to do with election year? :)

I know you're joking, but I'm sure medical practice would never be
affected by politics!
(BTW welcome back!)

Wait - you're forwarding this as some kind of authority on North
American beer? A blogger on an online radio station, and the guy's in
Nova Scotia, fercrissakes! That's a good one.
