This caught my eye:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/08/08/air.car/index.html

especially since someone posted earlier this year about a compressed air
motorcycle that works.

My only concern with this stuff is HOW the energy is stored. Gasoline is an
understood technology at this point ... although there are awful fiery
crashes, occasionally, overall the technology does well.

That amount of air pressure ... could do very bad things with a fatigue
failure or other circumstances ... we are talking fragments reaching
ballistic velocities.

Or the car suddenly goes berserk in traffic, like a balloon ka-blooing
all around a room, bouncing off walls and people.

Alternately, you manage to not shatter during the pressure
release and they find the occupants of the vehicle flash frozen.

So?

Just thaw and serve.
