Absolutely. I'd still like one, even now. In black.

Oh I could retrofit the spoked wheels. BUTT I'd rather have a set of
lesters...no more tubed tyres then. The Wings have always been skined
with plastic. My clearcoat is about gone so I'll either repaint with
the original colour OR go with something else. The else being many
choices, something subtle. You know the original Yellow the 75 came
in, or the Canary yellow of the 58' 'vette. Then again flat black
wouldn't be bad nor Red/White.

I need to ask some people I know if the plastic is ABS or something
else. Just in case I find cracks when doing the prep work.

p.s. Interesting not is one of the cycle magazines here in the states
noted that the 79' GL1k caught more are over the jumps than the CR?500
did...who knew it was a dual purpose bike?

My '76 was yellow with blue pinstripes (original).

Too bad the wings "evolved".

In '92 my '75 GL was factory blue and still had all the factory stickers
on it...  Only wish digital cameras were so ubiquitous and cheap back then
as they are now.  The only picture I ever took of it has long since been
lost.

Ain't it thought? Then again they have to cater to the proletariat. Me
I am prefering smaller motorcycles. My 79' GL it likely the last liter
bike I'll own.
