OK. I've come to the conclusion you're either a troll or a whacked out
moron. You think it's important to ba able to jump a KLR 6" into the
air. On God's Earth, why? Of course it can. Big deal. Almost any bike
can get a little air. You create these insipid criteria for a
motorcycle like jumping and "bone stock" that have no useful purpose
whatsoever in life. Motorcycles are made to accomodate as wide a
market as possible. That's why the KLR has adjustable handlebars,
movable mirrors, and options for a variety of tires, brakes, etc. When
there are so many options available to make the bike better suited for
YOU, you've arbitrarily decided not to change _anything_? For some
esoteric BS idea of "bone stock"? Gimme a break. What a kook.

With such a lack of cranial use, it's no use hoping you'll learn to
post correctly.

Not to worry, Turby. with such a lack of cranial use, he won't be
posting long after he starts riding anyway.

LOL.  That is not true but it was funny.  But I started riding about 22
years ago and have lost track of the number of states and miles and all of
that bragging stuff and I am still posting.  The trick is not to try to ride
drunk or drugged up and not to ride any more than you really need to at
night because you cannot see anything anyhow and it usually gets colder at
night.

...yet I still have to ask if a motorcycle can get 6" off the ground
without damage.

  Ya, sure...
