So now the Bridgestone BT020 on my FZR1000 has over 10K
very gentle miles on it and it looks like it's still good for another
2K~3K.

It could last another two years at the rate I'm wearing it out.

It's a 170/60Z-17. It's about the only acceptable Bridgestone tire
I've ever ridden on.

I couldn't tell the difference between it and a Metzeler MeZ2 sport
touring tire when I first installed it.

I was getting 9K~10K out of the Metzelers.

I'm wondering what I should replace the BT020 with.

Maybe a BT021 with dual tread compound?

I've tried DTC Bridgestones before, I think it was an S-11 or some
such that was introduced when Bridgestone first originated the
lightning bolt tread pattern.

I didn't like it at all.

A Bridgestone BT45 is a definite non-starter, since the deep water
channels would allow the tread to squirm like a road-killed gopher
snake.

I don't ride very fast, and roads in California's central valley are
crap and it's unlikely they'll be repaired during my lifetime.

I want a cushy sport touring tire for comfort and tire mileage.

Did I mention that I'm a cheapskate, too?

Any suggestions?
