Headed to Death valley this coming weekend.

450lb+ (sort of) dualsport with 20/80 gripsters.

Itinerary hopefully includes Titus and Wildrose canyons
Already seen Scotty's castle, Badwater, the racetrack
and Eddyworld.

Open to other suggestions.

Thanx

I enjoyed Ubehebe crater, but then vulcanology* has always interested me.
Any clear dawn in Death Valley is also worth watching, but from Zabreski
point it's absolutely breathtaking.

Take lots of pictures for those of us still icebound.

A couple of great days wallowing around in the dirt.
Cameraderie and multiple kegs shared around a campfire.
Great weather with a few miles of rain on the way home.
Came home via 190 and 395, running maybe 1000 feet
below the snowline.

Stopped at the Canebrake Cafe a couple miles west of Onyx
on the way home. Turned out to be sort of a hobby restaurant
out in the middle of nowhere run by a couple in their late 70s.
Old man paddle footed it off to the kitchen in his wheelchair
and fixed me the all day $5 breakfast. We spent the next hour
or two talking about water purification, various  fights with the
government agencys, jobs we had held and all manner of other
stuff. Absolutely pointless rambling conversation and I loved it.
Old couple reminded me of a couple of kids optimistically
set up at a lemonade stand.

Battery litterally took a dump in Bakersfield on the way home,
leaking the contents of one cell on the way into town. The
AAA dispatcher turned out to be a sympathetic rider, who
booked me some road service that I was technically not
entitled to. Limped over to a dealer and shoehorned in
a Polaris AWD battery that got me home.

Good start to the riding season. I'm feeling renewed.

Sorry you're still snowbound, but that's probably the
price you pay for your lifestyle choices, choosing to
be a Canajun and all.

See ya on the road I hope.
