I'm looking for a 12mm rubber plug located in the top of the right side
crankcase of a honda qa50 engine. A used one will be fine. If you have
a junk engine sitting around please email me.

The part can be seen here in this diagram. It is labelled #14.  THANKS!

If used rubber is OK, why not just use some plumbers putty to stop up the
hole?  I assume the only purpose of the plug is to stop crap from falling
into the crankcase.  If so, plumbers putty should work, though it won't look
as "finished".  -Dave

The hole is also a crankcase vent so it' can't be plugged completely.
The oem honda plug somehow allows pressure to escape but not oil.

It's Honda part number 90801-083-000.

It's all of $1.57 at http://www.servicehonda.com  (plus $7 shipping),
or $1.77 at http://www.ronayers.com  (plus $8 shipping) so your local
Honda dealer probably won't charge more than about $4-5 for it.

http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.php?partnumber 801-083-000&getpart=1&getprice=Submit
Part Number    Status   Description          List Price    Your Price!
90801-083-000           PLUG, RUBBER (12MM)   $2.40         $1.57

http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts.cfm?searchstring 801-083-000

Part Number:  90801-083-000
Description:  PLUG, RUBBER (12MM)
Source:  HONDA
Price:  $1.77

And before you claim that any Honda dealer can't or won't order it,
they can, you should have it in about a week.

Thanks but I already ordered one from service honda online. I figured
since I was getting the rubber plug I'd get a spark plug too. I can get
the spark plug local for about $2.

Service honda let me order the rubber plug but when I recieved the
package a week later there was only a spark plug inside! I paid $11 for
a damn spark plug! The slow UPS ground shipping was $9!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I called and found out that the rubber plug is no longer availible.
Thanks for telling me that when I ordered it!

I'll try ron ayers tomorrow. Thank you.
