The deeper mystery is why would he think he could safely go round a highway
cloverleaf
at 70Mph?

The other deep mystery is he should count his blessings.
Only apparent damage is the broken rear plastic fender
splash. That is repairable. It could have been worse (like
injuries).

Probably because they're big, well surfaced and with no traffic coming the
other way. They're one of my "chosen for fun" roads as 70mph is the speed
limit, so you're breaking no laws by doing 70 around them. And 70mp isn't
*that* fast anyway.
Having said that, I don't think our Dave should be going anywhere NEAR a
cloverleaf unless it's organic and has four leaves and made of green stuff.
He should DEFINITELY consider a different form of transport too. Even a
Ferrari would be cheaper for him :-))
