Who makes a diesel bike? They have small cc diesel generators, why not
bikes.
Why does my 1900 diesel Jetta get 50mpg and my 1400 Suzuki only gets 32mpg?
One weighs more than the other, guess which?

There's a diesel variant of the venerable Kawasaki KLR 650,
converted by a third party for military use. See:

Diesel bikes can certainly be more efficient, but they've traditionally
had the disadvantages of being dirtier and (the death knell for the
motorcycle market) very underwhelming in performance terms vs.
their gasoline-fueled equivalents. The military likes 'em because
they ARE so efficient and can run on the same fuels as other
vehicles in the field, but you can see from the article that this isn't
exactly something you'd choose for fun.
And if you really want maximum economy, at the cost of just about
everything else we ride motorcycles for - well, that's why scooters
were invented, right?
