Do you get black fingertips from your black leather gloves?

My year-old black leather gloves now give me a black stain on two of my
fingers. I suspect gasoline got in there from a fillup, probably from my
hands. Now, every time I ride, I end up with a black-tipped finger or two.

Has this happened to you? It has been more than a month of black-tipped
fingers. Is there a good way to solve this problem short of buying new
gloves?

The dye on some gloves bleeds when they get wet.  I've had black stains
after a hard rain.  Turn your gloves inside out and let the water or
gas dry.

I've had this problem with my cheap Tourmaster 'Summer' gloves.  If my
hands get sweaty I get black stains all over my hands, which will wash
off but not easily.  It didn't happen until the gloves were 4-5 years
old.  I got another pair of gloves.
