First 125

 Ive narrowed down my choices for a first 125

Suzuki VL 125
Kawasaki Eliminator
Yamaha dragstar

Any thoughts on what would be the best option?

 
i think you'll find they are all designed to be the exact same thing -
an entry level cruiser

i don't think you will encounter any substantial differences between
them


i imagine you'll find most responses to be either "the only difference
is the one you perceive - go for the one you think you'll like best,
because they're all the same bike"

and a few "clearly A is better than B because of this tidbit of
information i possess that makes me feel superior" ... this is the
internet, after all



and then, once you've realized you should get whichever one appeals to
you most, for whatever reason, we can all discuss which color is the
fastest

Well, to me, the best option would be to chuck the
whole list and go for a decent entry-level standard,
say a Nighthawk 250, a Ninja 250 (yeah, it claims
to be a "sportbike," but not with the nice a riding
position it isn't), etc..  I know it's a matter of personal
taste, but MY personal taste would say that no one
should be starting out on a cruiser, esp. not one that is
so woefully underpowered.

Yes, Bob, some of us actually prefer that style bike and in that size.
Why does that bother you so much?
