If you were lucky enough to have been in Nebraska in the early 1960's
you could have gotten a brand new motorcycle for free (if you didn't
mind ripping off the dealer - legally!).
The reason for this curious state of affairs was a legislative snafu

Well the state of Nebraska has had nearly 50 years to fix this situation
and I have to suppose it's been resolved by now, so there's probably
no use heading for Omaha to pick up your brand new dream bike gratis.
However I always get an ironic chuckle over reading about some poorly
thought-out law that that backfires and/or how the legal system
sometimes pursues a point of principle to absurd lengths.
