With apologies to Springsteen (Bruce, that is, not Jay...)
Now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink till I get my fill
And I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it
but I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of, well time slips away
and leaves you with nothing mister but
boring stories of glory days.....
Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory days...
Did I mention following Springsteen (Jay that is, not Bruce) through
the infield at Daytona in 2008?
On my 1938 J.A. Prestwich nitromethane burning 500cc pushrod two-valve
air-cooled 110 horsepower sub 100-lb speedway bike?
Glory days, glory days, glory days.....

There, fixed it for you. I once referred to JAP powered speedway bikes in a
story for a Brit bike club. The editor corrected my un-PCness to
"Japanese". Prestwich no doubt turned over in his grave ...
