Hi,

I dropped my Suzuki EN-125 (several times) and bent the bolts
holding the anti-vibration weights at the end of the handle bars. The
bolts are about 10cm long and run through the centre of the weights
and along the centre of the handlebar “tube”. I removed the weight
from the handlebar by just unscrewing the bolt. Now the bolt is
straightened I can't refix the bolt and weight. I have also tried
screwing the bolt without the weight to try and pick up the thread
somewhere in the handlebar tube. In both cases the bolt does not pick
up a thread within the handlebar tube. I have looked in the bike
repair manual and this weight isn't mentioned anywhere – I suppose the
authors didn't expect it to be removed. Does anyone have any idea what
I do to refix the weights to the ends of the handle bars?

Thanks

Clive

When you remove the end weights, don't unscrew the bolt all the way
(Ooops) just loosen it so the 'spreader' inside the handlebar relax's
it's grip and the whole assembly comes out as one.

You've got some bits floating around in your handlebars.....maybe remove
them and give them a good shake (tap with a soft mallet?).....or
dropping the bike a couple more times should loosen them.  :)

Yep, same principle (called 'dynabolts' here).

No rush!  :)

Lots of people get caught in that trap.
Those "bits" aren't likely to hurt anything in there.
Check with a Zuki dealer for replacements.
It is so common a problem that a large dealer may have the "inside bits"
laying around without having to buy the whole assembly........but I wouldn't
think that would be too expensive either.
