Seems no 2008 Shadow 600 (just a 2007). Do they skip years, or is this gone
from their lineup?
Thanks.

It's probably gone. The US importers won't be happy until all of us are
driving two liter plus displacement bikes.
I'd love to be able to buy one of Honda's 250cc inline four street bikes
that are/were sold in Japan. Can you imagine how it must sound when revving
up to the 17k rpm red line? Instead, most of us are stuck buying v-twin
powered cocktail shakers at extravagant prices.

It's our own fault, I guess. We voted with our dollars and stated,
loudly, "we prefer style and image over proper ergos and practical
power".

I dunno if they dropped it, but I always thought the VLX600 was a nice
looking bike, but when you think Honda has 750, 1100, 1300, and 1800
cruisers and others have a 500, 805, 900, 1100, and up, maybe the 600
is being crowded out. I think they should all be 2000cc with that dial-
down capability like the Busa (IIRC) has :)

I thought it was great as a learning bike. I low-sided it a couple times,
and all that I had to do was replace turn signals, peg hardware, etc. None
of it propagated to the frame. Honda made their parts money ...
It is just big enough to be able to travel on the freeway, and it is perfect
for two-lane highways. The 60MPG is great. It is not too big, and not too
small.
And it is inexpensive. Honda made the right design tradeoffs (like no EFI)
to get it out the door cheap.
Great general commuting bike.
