This is a pretty big store as far as MC dealrerships go in my area;
probably the biggest.

The parking lot was packed with cars, trucks, and bikes; more vehicles
than I have ever seen there before. The delaership cleared out every
MC from the showroom floor - and that's dozens and dozens of bikes.
And for what? A blood drive. All sorts of regular and not so normal
looking folks there giving blood. This has to be the largest blood
drive I've ever seen in my area.

My hats off to those folks; they sure know how to organize a drive and
get people to come to it.

Any idea of the specifics? Our local HOG is trying to organize a blood drive
but we are having some concerns of how to go about it. We had one years ago
and it did not go real well. It seemed people came on groups, would get
frustrated because they could not get blood drawn right away and would
leave. Then a couple hours later no one would be around and soon it would
start all over again!

I can't give you specifics, but if you call the dealership next week,
I'm sure they can... http://hrhd.com/ 757-872-7223 (Eastern Virginia)

Black Wolf HD is in the process of relocating from Abingdon, VA to Bristol.
Last Saturday was the last day in the old location and they held a blood
drive at the new store before moving all the stock.

Unfortunately, it was a windy, wet, cold day and the turnout was far less
than hoped for, I'm sure.
