The bar where they hold these things is only about 3/4 of a mile from my
back door, and is clearly visible from my patio.

Last time there were scads of the (A) local police, (B) San Bernardino
County sheriff, (C) California Highway Patrol, and (D) FBI all over the
place; including some guys in plain clothes who had set up a directional
mike complete with parabolic reflector on a nearby hillside overlooking the
parking lot in hopes of picking up something incriminating.

Ought to be an interesting good Friday.

Addendum: As I was coming up the canyon behind my house this afternoon I
passed a couple of early arrivals who promptly took umbrage at being passed
by a Honda VFR, and gunned it up to about 90 while repassing me on the long
straight at the bottom of the canyon.

How do you get a 'hardley' up to 90 mph? Bikers arent using V-Rods are they?
Is it a 40 degree downhill run?

Uh, doofus, your average HA choppers accelerate *quite briskly* up to around
120 or so, whereupon they usually run out of steam.

It's the corners they have trouble with, but that's not what they're
designed for anyway.
