Exact opposite here. I've never dropped a bike after
coming to a stop and/or parking the thing - but I had the
traditional Newbie Learning Experience the VERY first
time I tried to pull off a paved road and into a gravel-covered
parking area. Absolute classic lowside, and the immediate
"Oh, yeah, they DID say something about this in the class"
sort of recollection immediately after the Most Common Two
Words To Occur When Dropping A Bike.

Interesting the mischief we can get into while snow bound.
I hope the roads clean up for you soon.

Welcome to the one true Linux.
$ uname -or
2.4.27-2-686 GNU/Linux
I've been discovering the joys of Puppy Linux on a USB stick
for quickly booting and using any computer that boots from
USB without needing to use the hard drive. It's amazing how
much functionality you can pack into _part of_ a 1GB memory
stick. With a 4GB stick you've got so much space it's
criminal.

There's no chance of riding here for the immediate future.

Hi Chuck, why don't you come up here. Snowmo trails open next Wednesday.
Yesterday I was out deer hunting in the Sayner area and the trails already
have been groomed. Walking off the trails, you will find yourself in a good
foot of fluffy snow that came down all at once last Saturday.
What is good to hear is that you folks down state seem to be getting hit
with snow more than us up here. That's how I like it!

The Troubles were more about independence from English rule in
Northern Ireland than religion per se. While it so happened to also
divide up across sectarian lines of Catholic vs Protestant, The
Troubles would have been the same regardless of the religions
involved. It was not a case of one religion forcing itself on
another, as Islam seeks to do.
