Got into Germany on Saturday, went up to the Black Forest for a Sunday
ride, then came south to see my son in Kaiserslautern at Ramstein AB.
It's been wet for the past couple days, but it hasn't stopped me. I'm
riding a newish TransAlp with full kit and added my Zumo 660 because I
want to get home eventually.
Pics are up at

will be updated daily as internet access allows.
I spent about 2 hours in Homburg today checking out some castle ruins
and a brewery, then took back mountain roads into K-Town. It was
miserable with twisty new pavement. ;) Tomorrow, I leave for
Bertesgaden and the Alps for seven days. Life sucks and then you have
to go back to the States.

Sweet. But I don't understand the McDonald's thing. Who flies all
the way across the ocean to eat there. I don't even eat at the one a
couple miles down the street.

Free internet access on the road. Their fries are good when fresh
(simply insist' they'll cook up a fresh batch while you wait) and
fountain Cokes are the same everywhere.
Of course, snobs who ride expensive motorcycles don't eat there.

Nor do egalitarians on Japanese knockoffs who still have some interest
in enjoying the culture they paid to see. Hope you and the guys on
your expensive Harleys are enjoying spending your time between
thunderstorm interludes tweeting to one another between each grisly
bite of your McTurd burgers.

Seems whatever meals we're enjoying are tastier than the sour grapes
that you are trying to choke down!
