That is the Nighthawk, right? It's a good general purpose street
bike. 40 to 45 mpg. I think it turns 5k rpm at 70 mph. Suspension
isn't the greatest but it works. The front rake is long enough that
it has a tendency to plow through sand on asphalt when trying to
negotiate a turn. You get a good power surge when you get up around
6k.
Your 1992 is red, no? I really enjoyed mine.

Yup

I agree

Three tanks so far. 44, 46.5, and 44.4

Yah, it doesn't seem to like big bumps, but takes them better than my
Nomad.

I've noticed a rather smooth response up to the redline, but it does
"surge" a little in the lower gears once you pass the magic 4K line.

Yes. The only other red vehicle I had was a Civic SI Hatchback. Two
tickets, two accidents. Bad luck on that one. Red is uber-visible,
could be good, could be bad. I've had a few close calls already - woke
up a cabbie drifting into my lane, that was pretty funny. Even with the
color, I don't think I'm as visible as I am on the Nomad. Doesn't
matter, though, as long as I'm aware of everything happening around me...
