My 2006 Honda Shadow 600 with about 6,000 miles on it is running just a bit
rough.

It doesn't seem to produce the amount of power I remember at low RPM, so
I've adjusted my shift points just a bit ...

Bike is totally driveable ... just a bit rough.

Also, I get the impression -- maybe flawed -- the one cylinder is producing
more power than the other. It is hard to describe -- the rhythym is a bit
asymmetric.

The dealership has always been great to me, so I'll take it there.

I'm gonna recommend they replace the spark plugs (just in case), plus do
their own evaluation.

What else should I have them check for? I'm gonna say spark plugs and valve
clearances for starters. Anything else?

Bike has too few miles and I'm far from an abusive rider ... I'd be
surprised if there was anything major mechanical wrong.

Ideas? Suggestions? Things to look for?

Thanks.

Run some B-12 through it. Odds are the carbs are a bit gummed up.

I believe that valve lash is taken care of with hydraulic adjusters so
there's nothing for you to do there. With only 6 000 miles on them, the
plugs will be like new, assuming it has run decently up to this point.

I'll Google right after this, but what is B-12?

Thanks.
