Thinking of buying a new bike, almost decided on a honda shadow spirit
1100cc, anybody familiar with this bike? comments welcomed..

Nice looking scoot; though I'm kinda surprised a middleweight cruiser
(odd how 1100cc is now considered a middleweight) would have a rear
drum brake these days. It doesn't take anything away from the bike,
just an observation.

1100 V-Star Custom or Classic. About the same price as the Honda, but
with a host of more modern equipment. Like tripple disc brakes.

I have a V Star 1100 Classic and appreciate the great brakes,
especially the front two discs. This isn't a comment against the
Honda, since I really know nothing about it, but one disc and a drum
seem a little weak for a 560 pound bike. My Virago had that setup, but
it also weighed just 400 pounds.
