Was looking at a Suzuki GSX650F today. Seems nearly as practical as my
Honda Shadow VT600, except I've got a backrest and luggage rack on order for
my VT600, and I could easily carry a bag or two (sleeping bag, change of
clothes).
The Suzuki has a couple of studs on the back so you can use a cargo net, but
that wouldn't seem to give you a lot of carry capability.
Is there any way to load lots of crap on a sportbike same as you can a
cruiser? Any cool accessories that I'd be unaware of?
Thanks.

I have a Chase Harper magnetic expandable tank bag that has two
stories. It holds about 17 liters and I can get enough clothes into it
to last a week. You don't want to put the heavy stuff up high.
Maps and my camera and stuff I need all the time are easily accessible
in the tank bag without getting off the bike, and the tank bag
supports my upper body, being stuffed with all the light stuff
Then I have a set of Eclipse P38 saddle bags which are triangular
shaped so they don't hit upswept exhaust pipes.
I can put a tail pack on the back of the seat and bungee a sleeping
bag to the tail pack. The tail pack holds things like an extra pair of
sneakers, chain lube and an extra pint of oil.
Trust me, that's enough storage space to last a week without going
overboard like Mark Holbrook with his water jug and Wal*Mart coolers.

Givi makes hard bags for all sorts of bikes, or you can load up with
soft luggage like this stuff on my local Craigslist.com.

Here is a picture of the Givi bags on my V-strom

This site (found with Google Images) might give you some ideas,
although it's for the GSX1300R:

Now that's a dude that uses that 'busa. He goes everywhere on the thing. I'm
a member of that discussion board. They're pretty cool over there.
