I bought two tubes of synthetic grease.
Unsolicited, I just received an envelope describing both nutritional
supplements and AMSOIL products.
I see that I can purchase "A.J.'s Male Power". The description is "For
natural libido enhancement and male potency. Twelve super nutrients for
increase male vigor.".
Seems odd.
Is AMSOIL like Amway, Avon, or Tupperware (kind of a home sales thing)?
Any independent reviews of the products?

I put some of the Amsoil Gear Oil in my old BMW R1100 final drive. I sold
the bike at 100,000 miles and the final drive never puked a bearing or seal
as they are oft to do. I could put my hand on the drive; if I tried it on
another BMW I couldn't touch it for more than 5 seconds as it was too damn
hot. Made a believer out of me.
They do seem to be homes sales for the most part. Even if you call their
800 number, they try and set you up as a dealer. You can order it online,
but there is a small yellow logo buried deep in their website about "Finding
a dealer near you." Often it is someone's home, although some businesses do
pop up. My current one is at some independent Harley garage/soup-up shop.
Prior it was a 90 year old Vet's home and you needed to be on his best WW II
terms else you didn't get any if he thought you was "A damn Commie liberal
(his exact quote!). Not cheap stuff though: 5 qts. and a bottle for the
final drive runs about $75 (but way better and cheaper than the dealer and
his labor if you DIY).
Regarding your other lube. I tried some of it once to make stuff larger.
Didn't work out so well. Only my application hand got larger. You're
supposed to wear gloves. Nothing else even got to the stage of "Appears
larger" or was, in fact, "Indeed larger." Sort of disappointing.

I don't doubt that the product line may be very good. I've read some
anecdotal testimonials.
It just seems an odd mix to come to my place in the same envelope.
I just noticed below "A.J.'s Male Power" we have "A.J.'s Prostate Formula".
We also have "A.J.'s Brain Power".
A.J. must lead a very interesting life.

Amsoil is Amway.
A Pyramid marketing scheme. Their oils don't carry API certification, but a
zealot will be along shortly to tell you that an independent testing lab
(Tobacco Institute) says it is better than the best.

That's "Mr.Zealot" to you.
Actually, they have been API certified since August, 1997. From the API
website:
