But I'll give it a shot anyway.

I am trying to figure what modifications may have been done to my
Roadking. Aside from knowing what was installed on the bike at the
time of purchase and what I can see installed on the bike I am pretty
much in the dark.

What I know:
1) After market pipes - Vance & Hines ovals.
2) SE Stage one air cleaner kit, minus the back plate.
3) Stock ECU
4) Stock push rods
5) Bike runs very well and pulls strong.
6) Spark plugs show no signs of detonation and have a light tan
colour. I don't know how many miles are on them.
7) An it is fuel injected.

All indications are the previous owner was either a meticulous
mechanic or had the work done professionally. With stage one pipes and
air cleaner the plugs indicate the fuel management system has been
adjusted correctly.

I'll be able to get it on a dyno once summer arrives and the bike
events get going. Usually I can find a free one offered at one of the
events.

So in my usual long winded fashion what I'd like to know is are there
any visible signs of further engine work, cams, big bore kit, etc.
short of opening it up?

I have a little more money left in the motorcycle fund. Some has to go
to the Venture and I might spend a bit to breath a little more life
into the engine. Not knowing what may have already been done makes it
harder to plan for upgrades.

If there are any visual indicators I'd sure appreciate knowing what
they might be.

If it is stage one only I am open to suggestions for what I should
consider as the next modification.

So Harley bashers line up to the left and Reekyites with legitimate
answers to the right.

I figure this thread will have a shelf life of 10 posts before it
degenerates into the latest Reeky flavour of the month.

Not if the work was all done on stock jugs.

95" kit about $3,000 installed
Upgrade the cam to a .203 or .204 and you can keep the stock ECU with
a fresh download.
Go any hotter and you'll need headwork and a Power Commander.

So is there a visible difference in the outside of the SE big bore kit
jugs?

Some have a Screaming Eagle logo but I'm not sure if it's the
cylinders or the heads now that you mention it.

To save big bux, many folks just bore out their stock cylinders and
replace the pistons. No way to tell externally if they do that. BTW if
you do it that way, the 95" kit is well under $700.00 (if the stock
heads/cam are used).
