The damage is light enough to be repaired, heavy enough to require most of
the summer to accomplish.  I'll be doing most of the work myself in my
garage.  The deer vanished, and might have been dinner for a coyote that
night, for all I know.  Time to clean out the carbs on the backup bike, but
long trips away from home are out.  Or are they?  Who can recommend a good
roadside service outfit that can fix me up at minimal cost if the old UJM
takes a powder 300 miles from home, or perhaps more to the point, 100 miles
from home in the middle of the scablands?

Ride safe.
