It's great to hear youv'e found your slice of paradise. Too many people
don't get time to spend outdoors and get their hands dirty. Most of the
forests (plantations like in your pic) here are privately owned so
access can be difficult...the old story of a few ruining it for the many.

I can get access to a block 40 minutes away through meeting 'Pastor
Dave', a local preacher! A keen hunter who runs tree pruning gangs for a
day job. he's nice enough to lend out a 4 wheeler as well.

You must stop shooting at barns and get some range time in then (I don't
suppose you drink beer, and shoot beer cans?).

Yep, labs are a bit big to sit on a bike carrier! :)

A lot of farm bikes/4 wheelers here have a gun rack across the
handlebars for easy access.

You might have to put a sidecar onto that TW! Then you can carry the dog
and meat.

If it's anything like Canada, it's euphemistically called
"reforestation". Like the original forest looked anything like that! You
can ride for miles through those things, just can't turn easily.

Until I got tired of coming home with nothing, I used to hunt with bow
& arrow too, Susan. 50 yards is a heck of a good shot!

No no no Don. I shot the buck with my gun. I used the arrow to show the
path of the bullet.
Gee, wish I was that good with my bow. I'm lucky to be accurate at 20
yards.
