..buried deep, was a discussion about drinkin' and ridin' .. and somebody
said he'd never heard of DWI Checkpoints. I forget who.

Well, here's an article from yesterday:

<http://www.whec.com/news/stories/S2345601.shtml?catV5>

"Stop DWI crackdown starts today "
"The sixth STOP DWI crackdown of the year is underway."
...more
"The final STOP-DWI crackdown will be November 23 through December 31."

I know where one of them will be, in the next couple of evenings - about
five miles from my house, and on the road to town. No easy way around
that spot either.

"Town" would be the congregation of businesses and residences where we
country people go when we need to shop for groceries, gas, and other
life's necessities. Like Charlie's Cheeseburgers. We (spouse and I) live
in the "country." A rural place.

Doesn't matter much. The Stop DWI is a statewide effort.

Corning is where Corningware comes from, yes.  And it's Ithaca.

There are a lot of nice roads in the Adirondacks. I've been on just about
all of them throughout the years. Lake Placid is a frequent destination,
for example.

Fix your health and git ridin'!

PS: It snowed today...   :-(  (but only a little bit)
