Driving my daughter to an event (in our car), apparently I and a
M'cycle changed to the middle lane at the same time. My bad as the
lane I was in happened to be an exit lane though the sign suggesting
that was covered, but another one near the exit wasn't. It's a
construction zone and things change on a daily basis. I was actually
driving slower than most traffic speeding thru the zone. I saw him
behind me in the left lane a bit earlier. I would've been on a bike as
well but my daughter is afraid and I won't push her. I'm sure the
circumstances gave us both reasons to do what we did, but the upshot
was he beeped me to show his displeasure (i can understand that), then
he passed me on the right, lifted up his shirt to show me a holstered
hand gun. Lotsa thoughts went thru my mind, but I didn't really feel
threatened. Just really pissed off. I did have to make a quick lane
shift, and did signal, but I can understand his distress, not his
action therafter. Had I seen his plate I would have phoned it in. I
465, west side, Indianapolis.

That rider is working his way up to a road rage incident that will
cost him dearly. Also, simple speeding stop could get him a concealed
weapon charge.

He did a stupid (and probably illegal) thing in showing his weapon.  But
Indiana does have a "shall issue" concealed carry law, so if he has a
permit it is perfectly legal for him to carry it under his shirt while
riding.

I never heard of "shall issue" before now.

The concept of "shall issue" is foreign to the California mindset,
where concealed carry permits are issued at the whim of the official.

But it seems that "shall issue" states are the majority now.
